Open Access Policy
All articles published in IJBM will be immediately free for everyone to read, download, copy, and distribute. The authors of articles published in the International Journal of Biomedicine (IJBM) are the copyright holders of their works.
We currently offer Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license for IJBM articles. The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license permits the use and distribution of all published articles in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited. It is prohibited to distribute materials for commercial purposes or to modify or adapt the original works. The authors grant the International Journal of Biomedicine a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
Article Publishing Charge (APC)
As an open-access journal with no subscription fees, the International Journal of Biomedicine (IJBM) applies an Article Publishing Charge (APC) to support the publication of accepted manuscripts. The APC is payable by the authors, their institutions, or funding agencies only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
The APC enables IJBM to make all published articles freely and permanently accessible online while covering the costs of editorial management, peer review, copyediting, typesetting, production of the printed journal version, online hosting, long-term archiving, and indexing in major bibliographic databases, ensuring the widest possible dissemination and discoverability of published research.
Article Publishing Charge
- US$1,200 per accepted article (up to 10 printed journal pages).
- For manuscripts exceeding 10 printed journal pages, an additional charge of US$120 per page will apply.
- All figures submitted in color will be published in color online at no additional charge.
Printed Journal
A printed version of the journal is available upon request. Authors interested in print publication or printed copies are invited to contact the Editorial Office for current pricing and availability. Printing and shipping charges vary depending on article length, color requirements, destination, and the number of copies requested.
Discounts
IJBM is committed to supporting the global research community. Authors whose research is primarily funded by an institution or organization located in an eligible low-income or lower-middle-income country, as classified by the World Bank, may be eligible for a partial APC discount.
To request a discount, please contact the Editorial Office through the Contact Us page or by email at editor@ijbm.org after your manuscript has been accepted for publication. Please include the following information:
- Your full name and institutional affiliation, including the complete mailing address.
- The title of your manuscript.
- A brief explanation of the reason for requesting a discount.
- The country of residence of all co-authors.
All discount requests are reviewed on an individual basis, and approval is granted at the Publisher's discretion.

License and Copyright Agreement
In submitting the manuscript to IJBM, authors certify their desire to publish the above manuscript and any supplemental materials in a print or electronic publication of IJBM under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
• The corresponding author acts as an agent on behalf of all co-authors of the article, warranting that they have the legal authority to enter into these arrangements.
• The authors certify that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or thesis); it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; its publication has been approved by all author(s) and responsible authorities of the institutes where the work has been carried out. They secure the right to reproduce any material that has already been published or where copyright is owned by someone else.
Copyright
• Copyright for the article remains with the author(s) or the author’s employer.
• The authors grant IMRDC a license to publish the article and the right to identify itself as the original publisher. This license encompasses all rights to publish, distribute, and make the article available in all media (print, digital, and online), as well as the right to protect these rights against third parties.
• The authors grant any third party the right to freely use the article, provided that the original authors and bibliographic details are duly cited.
• The article is distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
Depositing and Archiving Policy
Published articles and full journal issues are available on the publisher's website. Open Access in IJBM permits immediate and free public access to the final publisher's version (Version of Record) of an article upon publication, under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. Authors may deposit the Version of Record without an embargo period in the institutional repository and their personal website. The repository deposit must include a link to the original published article on the journal website via a DOI and include the appropriate CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license notice.
